How to refund a customer

To refund a customer (either a full or partial refund):

  • Find the customer you want to refund

    • You can search the user's name in the search bar, find them in the Payments table, or access directly via the Resolution center if the user has requested the refund there

  • Click the 3 dots on the membership/ purchase you want to refund and click Refund

  • Either click the Refund button to refund the purchase in full, or select the Partial refund box and enter the specific amount you would like to refund

    The successful refund status will be visible on the user's profile.

What to do if you have no account balance

If you don’t have enough money in your Whop account for a refund, you’ll need to wait until you have sufficient funds in your balance to complete the refund.

We recommend that you always leave enough of a balance in your Whop Payments account to address any disputes or refund requests that might arise.

Take these steps to leave some money in your Whop at all times, even if you set up automatic payouts:

  • Click on Payouts on the left sidebar

  • Click Withdraw

  • If set on a Daily, Weekly, or Monthly cadence, check the box and enter a Minimum balance to retain

    • We recommend leaving enough money to cover at least two refunds at your average offer's cost

  • If you are set to manual withdrawal, you will be unable to set a minimum balance to retain.

  • Hit the Update payout frequency button to save your choices
