Updated this week

Anyone can make money on Whop by joining a Content Reward. Simply join a whop, follow the instructions outlined on the Content Reward, post your content on eligible social media platforms, and get paid out automatically for the views you bring in.

What is a Content Reward

Whop’s Content Rewards are a marketing tool where you get paid for the views you bring in by posting creators’ and brands’ content on your own social media channels.

A business, creator, or brand on Whop will launch a Content Reward, where they will tell you what content they want you to share on your social media channels. When your posts get views, you get paid out automatically.

For example:

  • An artist who just released a new song might launch a Content Reward and pay you to post a TikTok dancing to the song

  • A soda brand might pay you to post about a new soda flavor on your Instagram

  • A real estate business on Whop might pay you to clip and repost segments of a podcast they were on

How to join a Content Reward

Step 1: Find a Content Reward that interests you

  • Log into your Whop account

  • Click on the Discover tab and click on the Explore section

  • Click into Content Rewards

    • On a computer, click on See all Content Rewards

    • On the phone app, click into one of the Content Rewards

  • Sort to find the Content Reward opportunities that interest you most! You can sort by:

    • The highest budget available to pay out

    • The Content Reward that has paid out the most money

    • The highest CPM (paying the most money per view)

    • Newest Content Rewards

    • Type of Content Reward: User generated content (UGC) or clipping

    • Category: Brands, entertainment, products, music, logo, or other

  • Click into a Content Reward and join the whop

    • Some Content Reward whops may have a waitlist or require payment, but the vast majority are totally free to join and get started

Step 2: Learn the Content Reward requirements

  • Once you’re in the whop, click on the Earn tab to see the Content Reward

  • Click on the Content Reward

    • You will be able to see any Content Rewards that are currently active for you to join

  • On the Content Reward, you can see:

    • Paid out - how much the creator has paid out already and how much money is left to pay out to members like you

    • Time left - how many days you have left to earn money with this Content Reward

    • Reward - how many dollars you’ll be paid for every 1k views you get

    • Type - this is the category of content reward

    • Minimum payout - the creator will not pay for a post unless it gets enough views to be paid this amount

      • For example, if the Reward was $5 per 1k views with a Minimum payout of $10, your post needs to reach 2k views before you start receiving payment. Past 2k views, you’ll be automatically paid for every additional view your post gets.

    • Maximum payout - no matter how many views your post gets, this is the maximum cap the creator will pay out for any post

    • Category - the type of creator

    • Platforms - the social media platforms where you can post the content

  • You will also see a list of Requirements

    • These are the conditions your post must meet - the creator might ask you to use a certain hashtag, tag someone in the post, use a certain song in the background, etc.

    • Make sure to read these requirements carefully! If your submission does not meet the Content Reward’s requirements, it most likely will not be approved and you will not be paid

  • The Content Reward might provide you with Assets

    • A creator might give you content to clip or repost on your social media channels - you can find all of that content under the Assets section of the Content Reward

Step 3: Post on your social media and upload the link on Whop

  • Post the content, following all of the requirements listed on the Content Reward

  • Upload your social media post into the Content Reward right away to start tracking

    • Click the Submit button at the bottom of the Content Reward - add the link to your social meda post in the “Provide link” field

    • Upload the original media file that you uploaded on your social media

  • Confirm ownership of your social media account

    • Go into your profile page on the social media platform you’re working with – copy the URL and paste into the URL field

  • Copy the verification code on Step 1 of the modal that pops up on Whop

  • Log back into your social media account and go to your settings or bio page

  • Paste the code into your bio field and hit the Submit / Save - don’t worry, this is just temporary! You will delete this code from your bio once your account is verified!

  • Go back into the Content Reward in Whop and click the Verify button on the screen

  • Hit the Submit button on the Content Reward - your post is now uploaded!

    • You will be paid for any views your post gets from this point forward, as long as the creator/business approves your post!

How to get paid

After you’ve posted the content on your social media and have submitted the post to the Content Reward, here is how you get paid:

  • Your post must be approved by the business running the Content Reward

    • Please note approval is not immediate! Please be patient until your post is reviewed and approved

    • Once your post is approved, you will get paid for every view you’ve gotten since you uploaded the post. This means that, if you upload a post today and it gets approved next week, your will still be paid for every view you get starting today

    • If your post does not meet the listed requirements, has fake or botted views, or is extremely low quality, the post will be denied

  • Once your post is approved, you get paid out automatically to your Whop balance

    • You are paid every hour directly to your Whop balance

    • Please note that if the Content Reward has a minimum payout set, you need to hit that minimum before you start getting paid out

    • Payouts are automatic! No additional action is needed from your end after you submit the Content Reward

  • To withdraw the money from your Whop balance to your bank account:

    • Log into Whop and go to your profile - click the your profile picture icon on the left sidebar on a computer, or on the top left of the screen on your phone

    • Click Balance

    • On this Balance page, you will be able to see all of the money you’ve received on Whop to your personal balance - all Content Reward payouts will show up on this table

      • Note - if you also run a business on Whop, please note that this is your personal balance, NOT your business’s balance

    • If you have not yet set up your payment account, click Set up Whop Payments

      • You will be directed to a Stripe page to verify your identity and connect your bank account

    • Once your payments are verified and bank account is connected, click Withdraw to bank to withdraw your funds directly

      • Please note that user payouts from the personal balance can only be paid out directly to your bank account - PayPal, cryptocurrency, Cash App, and other payment methods are NOT possible to use for payouts from a personal Whop balance

      • Payouts to the bank will typically take 3-5 business days (these are standard processing times!)

Reminder - only views after you submit count towards payout. Submit as soon as you post to get paid for all of your post’s views.

Content Reward FAQs

What is UGC vs clipping?

  • User generated content (UGC) is content that YOU make from scratch. The business running the Content Reward will tell you requirements that your content must meet

  • Clipping is when the business uploads a lot of raw, unedited footage and it is your job to clip and edit the content into short, attention-grabbing, clips to then post on social media

How can I learn to clip content?

  • Whop Clips is a great place to get started! Join the Whop Clips community for free to access courses, resources, chats, and opportunities to clip for Content Rewards on Whop

I’ve uploaded my post - when do I get paid?

  • The creator who launched the Content Reward first needs to approve your post before you get paid. Don’t worry - as soon as your post is approved, you’ll be paid for every view you’ve gotten since uploading the post to Whop

  • Once your post is approved, you’ll get paid out to your personal Whop balance every hour for the views your post brings in

How much will I get paid for my Content Reward post?

  • The business will list in the Content Reward how much they are paying for every 1,000 your post gets

  • Some businesses will set minimum payouts - a minimum payout of $5, for example, means that your post needs to earn at least $5 worth of views before you start getting paid

  • Some Content Rewards will also give you a fixed payment just for posting, even before you get any views!

  • Sort by CPM on Whop’s Discover page to find the Content Rewards that are paying the most amount of money per view

Why can’t I just bot views and get paid?

  • Nice try, but Whop’s Content Rewards automatically detect view botting and fake viewer patterns

  • Posts detected for fraud or fake views are automatically flagged for rejection, and you may be permanently suspended from Whop

Why is my video getting flagged?

  • Your video might be getting flagged for suspicious or fraudulent viewers - Whop has a zero-tolerance policy for fraud on our platform

  • If you think it might be a mistake, or think you were unfairly flagged and/or suspended, please talk to our Customer Success team
