Checkout links are direct links to specific pricing options that you can send to your users.
Creating a payment link
Creating a checkout link is simple. Here’s how you do it:
Navigate to the Pricing tab on the left sidebar of your creator dashboard
Click + Create
Customizing your payment link
Select the whop you want to have a checkout link for.
Choose if you want your link to be Free, a One-time payment, or Recurring
If you want to set up a split pay payment, choose Recurring
If you want to offer financing on the checkout link, choose One-time
Choose your price and customize the link
Set visibility - do you want this price to be publicly shown on your store page, or do you want to have to send the link to customers?
Free trials - choose if you want to add free days before the customer starts paying
Revoke access - revoke user access to anything hosted on your whop after a time period that you set
Add waitlist - customers enter their card details at checkout but are not charged until you approve them off of the waitlist. Customers are automatically charged once approved.
Add questions - collect information via a form question from any user before they can join.
Set internal name and description - internal name is just for you to see on the dashboard; the description will publicly show up on the checkout page
Redirect URL - add a URL that customers will immediately be sent to as soon as the purchase is successful
Payment options - choose what payment options (i.e. card, Paypal, crypto, ACH, etc) show up on your checkout link
Payment options
If you want a payment link to accept financing options or crypto, the payment must be 1-time (not recurring)
Crypto payments only work on 1-time payments, not subscriptions. This is a technical restriction with the way crypto payments work, not a limitation from Whop. If you want to accept payments in crypto, you should duplicate your offer/whop currently set up with a subscription payment and simply offer a 1-time payment with crypto payments toggled on for each visible
Financed payments need to be 1-time so that the full payment can then be set up on a repayment plan directly with the financing provider
Adding Whop to your own website
Custom check-out links are perfect if you are looking for users to purchase from your website. When a user clicks the buy now button, the checkout link will redirect the user to your checkout page. You can see an example checkout page here.
Invoicing and collecting payments
Posting a payment link is the easiest way to collect payments. Here are a few examples:
Sales teams can create and send checkout links in the exact amount the customer needs
You're hosting a webinar and want to send a link directly to the checkout page for a certain price
Contractors can send checkout links as an invoice for service work
You're in the middle of a conversation with a potential user and want to send them a link right away to purchase
