A high-level guide on how to get your whop featured on the home page of Discover

Updated today

Whop's mission is simple: to make you a lot of money.

The Discover page, formerly known as the Marketplace, fits into this mission by allowing you to expose your whop to millions of users a day - all without having a funnel, without having to post on social media, and without having to run paid ads.

A common question creators ask is: "how do I get on the home page of Whop?"

In this guide, we'll be going over a few effective strategies you can employ to hack engagement and showcase your whop front-and-center on Discover.

To start, you'll see six distinct filters shown as bubbles across the page, ranked by the number of clicks each category gets from users:

  1. Most addicting

  2. Newest

  3. Most reviews

  4. Hottest affiliate orders

  5. Bounties available

  6. Most money made

Think of each category as an opportunity - but be strategic about this. Based on the order of the bubbles, we can tell that the most amount of traffic flows to "Most addicting" and the least amount of traffic flows to "Most money made". This data tells you that you should probably focus your efforts on hacking the amount of time your users cumulatively spend inside your whop each day.

You can do this in a few ways:

If you currently host your community or content on another platform such as Discord or Telegram, you should be using Whop apps instead.

  1. For example, if you have a chat on another platform that is popping 24/7, none of that activity can be tracked by Whop and will not count towards user minutes.

  2. However, user minutes will count if you use the Chat app for chatrooms and the Forums app for announcements (for example).

  3. Other apps that can significantly increase user time include Courses (think about how many user minutes a 5-minute welcome could yield if viewed by thousands of members) and the Whop Wheel (everyone loves free stuff).

If you are fully utilizing whop apps, here are some strategies that work well to push engagement within your community:

  1. Lead by example and be engaged inside your own whop every day. Ask questions and build a sense of camaraderie amongst your members. Build a great culture and watch as members stick around just for the sense of community.

  2. Host live trivia or challenges inside your chat and send money to users who answer questions correctly or successfully completely challenges!!

  3. Reward users that spend a lot of time inside your whop. While inside any app, you can see your users ranked by their time spent inside your whop. Send them a personalized message, send them gift money, or give them a shout out in your public chats.

  4. Use the Bounties app to get users to introduce themselves, engage with others, and refer friends to your whop.

By consistently taking these steps, you'll be sure to climb the ladder under Most addicting. Aside from optimizing for user minutes, you can also ask your users to leave reviews, run an awesome affiliate program, and set ambitious bounties for users in order to rank high under the other categories.

We'll see you at the top charts :)
