How to Change Your Email on Whop

You can update the email connected to your Whop account anytime from your account settings.

Updated this week

To successfully update your Whop account's email, it is important to follow the steps carefully and understand how to address potential complications, such as encountering an "email already taken" error.

If you lose access to your registered email address, additional steps may be needed to verify your account and update the email successfully.

1. Open Account Settings

  • Log in to Whop.

  • Click your profile picture in the sidebar.

  • Select Edit Profile.

2. Go to Account Security tab

  • In the left-hand menu, click Account Security.

3. Edit your email

  • Find your email at the top of the page.

  • Click Change.

  • Enter your new email address.

  • Press Send code.

  • If you encounter an "email already taken" error, verify whether the desired email is associated with another account. If so, consider transferring memberships or contacting Whop support for assistance.

  • For instance, if your registered email is inaccessible, you will need to contact Whop support. Provide a new email address not previously used on Whop and supply any required information for verification, such as your billing address or transaction details.

4. Confirm your new email

  • You’ll receive a confirmation email at the new address. Open it and click Verify Email to complete the update.

Troubleshooting and Advanced Scenarios

Regaining Access When Your Registered Email Is Inaccessible

  • If you cannot access your registered email, contact Whop Support. Provide an unused email address and verification details like billing information or transaction screenshots. Once verified, your email can be updated to restore account access.

Unable to Receive Verification Code

  • If verification codes are not received despite having access to the registered email, reach out to Whop Support to resolve this. You may provide a new email for future access convenience.

Restoring Business or Partner Accounts

  • For business accounts, owners or partners with permissions can invite you back with an alternate email address if the registered email is inaccessible.

If you encounter issues during this process or need to address specific situations like transferring memberships or using an email already associated with another account, Whop provides additional tools:

  • Use "Transfer Memberships" to move content between accounts as needed.

  • Keep your registered email secure and regularly updated to avoid access issues.

  • If a "No User Found" error occurs during login, confirm the spelling of the email, search for Whop confirmation emails, or review billing statements to identify the registered email address.

  • Always maintain a record of important account details for easier troubleshooting.
