Whop offers financing options and other local payment methods, to make purchases more accessible for buyers and increase conversion at checkout

Financing options

Whop offers five different financing options: AfterPay, Splitit, Klarna, Sezzle, and ZipPay. All of these buy now pay later options allow your customers to pay off their purchase over time, while you receive the full payment immediately at purchase.

1. AfterPay

Overview: AfterPay is a leading financing option for mid-ticket offers, designed for fast, low-friction checkout. It has strong brand-name recognition, high consumer trust, and extremely wide adoption among US customers.

AfterPay supports:

  • Supported countries: USA

  • Maximum amount (provider): $4,000

  • Maximum term length: 12 months

  • Approvals starting around 600 credit score

2. Splitit

Overview: Splitit is a unique buy now pay later option that supports higher-priced plans, international customers, and requires no credit check from customers.

Splitit is different from most BNPL options, as it leverages a customer’s existing credit card and available credit limit to break purchases into monthly installments. There’s no extra application or external credit check from Splitit itself, and buyers can split purchases into monthly, interest-free installments as long as they have available credit on their card.

SplitIt supports:

  • Supported countries: INTL & USA

  • Maximum amount: Up to $40,000 (with approval)

  • Maximum term length: 12 months

  • 0% interest for buyers

  • No credit score requirement – based off existing lines of credit on cards

3. Klarna

Overview: Klarna is a global buy now, pay later provider offering flexible payment options, including Pay in 4, Pay in 30 days, and long-term financing for larger purchases. It has strong brand recognition and can support both US- and EU-based customers.

Klarna supports:

  • Supported countries: USA, EU

  • Maximum amount (provider): $10,000

  • Maximum term length: 24 months

  • Approvals starting around 600 credit score

4. Sezzle

Overview: Sezzle is a buy now, pay later platform that gives customers flexible ways to pay, including Pay in 2, Pay in 4 interest-free installments, or longer-term monthly financing for larger purchases.

Sezzle supports:

  • Supported countries: USA/CA

  • Maximum amount (provider): $15,000

  • Maximum term length: 24 months

  • No recourse for defaulted plans

  • 0 interest options available

  • Approvals starting around 550 credit score

5. ZipPay

Overview: ZipPay is an ideal buy now pay later option for shorter plans and lower-priced offers. Zip's most popular product lets shoppers split purchases into 4 installments over 6 weeks, with payments charged every two weeks.

ZipPay supports:

  • Supported countries: USA

  • Maximum amount (provider): $1,500

  • Maximum term length: 4 months

  • Approvals starting around 460 credit score

Accessing financing

To get access to any financing option on Whop, apply from the Payouts page of your creator dashboard.

Businesses must meet the following eligibility criteria in order to access financing:

  • Eligible categories

    Financing providers do not support gambling, sports betting, trading signals (education-only may qualify), credit services, travel, dating, or adult content.

  • Low dispute rate

    Businesses must have a dispute rate under 2% over the last 90 days. Note- for Klarna, this dispute rate must be <1%.

  • Processing volume

    Financing providers must see a history of at least $30,000 processed in the last 90 days.

After your application is reviewed and approved, you will automatically be granted access to all financing options for which you are eligible.

All financing providers have a 15% fee per successful transaction.

Local Payment Methods (LPMs)

Whop also supports a wide range of local payment methods, improving accessibility and enabling customers around the world to pay using the options most common in their region.

Businesses on Whop don't need to do anything to get access to these local payment methods -- any payment option for which a customer is eligible will automatically appear at checkout. For example, if you have a customer in the Netherlands, their Whop checkout will automatically include iDEAL as a payment option.

1. US Bank Transfer (ACH)

Overview: ACH (Automated Clearing House) is the primary U.S. bank-to-bank transfer network. It allows customers to pay directly from their bank accounts with low fees and high reliability. It’s one of the most trusted payment rails for larger transactions in the U.S.

2. Crypto

Overview: Crypto payments allow buyers to pay using digital assets (converted instantly to USD). Crypto is a strong option in supporting global customers and provides fast settlement with no traditional banking friction.

3. Cash App

Overview: Cash App Pay is a U.S.-based mobile wallet allowing instant payments directly from Cash App balances or linked cards.

  • Fees: Card % + fixed fee

4. iDEAL

Overview: iDEAL is the most widely used online banking payment method in the Netherlands and across parts of the EU.

  • Fees: 1.5% + €0.80

5. Bancontact

Overview: Bancontact is Belgium’s leading payment method, connecting directly to customers’ bank cards and mobile banking apps.

6. SEPA Debit

Overview: SEPA Direct Debit allows customers across the EU to pay using their bank accounts through standardized European banking rails. It supports recurring and one-time payments with extremely wide market coverage.

7. Twint
