Dealing with disputes can be both challenging and time-consuming. Fortunately, Whop offers a streamlined solution with our 'Dispute Fighter' tool, designed to simplify the dispute resolution process significantly. With 'Dispute Fighter,' you can automate the uploading of legal documents and user purchase logs in mere seconds, greatly increasing your chances of successfully resolving disputes.
If you find yourself facing a dispute, simply head to the Disputes tab and click on View Details to submit the necessary documentation. On the Disputes page, you'll be able to monitor the progress of your dispute(s) and stay informed about the outcomes of your submissions.
Tips for dispute submissions:
Include screenshots of user activity to demonstrate engagement and awareness. The more context and visibility into communication with the user the better.
Make Terms of Service and Refund Policy accessible under Settings > Legal for stronger documentation.
Fight chargebacks before they turn into disputes by setting your auto-refund settings to your high payment amount.

Q: How long do I have to respond to a dispute?
Click on the Dispute fighter tab on the lefthand sidebar of the creator dashboard
On each dispute, you will see the date by which you need to respond under the Respond by column
Q: How do I increase my chances of winning a dispute?
Consider the disputing customer's specific issue and make sure you are providing evidence to fight that specific claim
For example, if a customer says they never received your product, make sure you provide evidence specifically of the customer receiving and using the product
Upload a clear Return Policy, Terms and Conditions, and any other policies to define your fulfillment, return and refund policies. Issuing banks will review all of these policies in making their decision.
Q: Why did I lose a dispute?
Ultimately, dispute results are decided by the customer's issuing bank.
They will consider all evidence you provide via Whop's dispute fighter, and we will provide every piece of proof to give you the best chance of winning, but Whop ultimately is not making the final call and cannot control the decision made by the bank.
Q: How is it possible that a customer disputed a payment, I won, and then the user was able to dispute the same payment again?
Although extremely rare, card networks and many payment methods allow multiple disputes on a single payment.
While this is the payment provider’s decision and Whop cannot limit a customer from re-fighting a dispute, Whop can help you fight every dispute.
Even if it is for the same purchase, you should fight each dispute fully using Whop’s dispute fighter.
Q: Can I refund a disputed payment?
A: If the dispute has become a full blown chargeback, a creator is unable to refund the payment. If the customer calls their bank and withdraws the dispute, then the creator can refund the payment!
